Camera for Documentary
We need a senior camera operator to lead our B-cam unit for an independent documentary about an incredible, untold London story. This project is intimate, character-driven, and visually rich. We're looking for someone with a strong sense of visual storytelling, able to capture nuanced performances and observational moments with a cinematic eye. Your primary responsibility will be operating our B-camera, working closely with the Director of Photography to maintain consistent visual style. You'll also be involved in shot planning and setup. We require extensive experience on documentary sets, a strong portfolio or reel demonstrating your work, and the ability to work efficiently within a small crew. You should own your own kit, preferably a mirrorless or compact cinema camera package capable of high-quality acquisition, with a good selection of lenses. This is for an upcoming project shooting in London. We anticipate about 3-4 weeks of shooting, primarily during early September 2026 and potentially a few pickup days in late September 2026. Days will generally be 10-12 hours. Compensation is TBD, and we can discuss that based on your experience and equipment. We'll provide transportation for gear and lunches on set.
