Camera Operator for Brooklyn Pilot (Paid)
An independent production is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Camera Operator to join our small, passionate team for an upcoming pilot. This project is a dark comedy, blending dry wit with moments of unexpected emotional depth. We're aiming for a slightly stylized, cinematic look that enhances the comedic timing and dramatic beats. It's a character-driven piece, and your eye for framing and performance will be key to bringing our vision to life. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of what we believe is a truly unique story. We're looking for someone with an entry level of experience, but a strong portfolio and eagerness to contribute. You'll be responsible for operating the primary camera, setting up shots under the direction of the DP, and ensuring consistent image quality. You should be familiar with professional digital cinema cameras, and ideally own or have access to a basic camera package (camera body, lenses, tripod). Please include a link to your reel or relevant work samples. The shoot is anticipated to be 1-2 days, likely over a weekend, in late September or early October 2026. Hours will be long but rewarding. We're offering a daily rate of $100-200, which will include some meals and on-set refreshments in Brooklyn, NY.
