Cinematography for Feature Film

Our independent production is seeking a talented Camera Operator to join our team for an upcoming feature film. This project is a darkly comedic thriller with a unique visual style, blending gritty realism with moments of surrealism. We're looking for someone who can help us achieve a distinctive aesthetic and capture compelling performances in challenging, high-stakes scenes. You'll be primarily responsible for operating the camera under the direction of our Director of Photography, executing precise camera movements, and ensuring the technical quality of the footage. We anticipate a dynamic, fast-paced shooting environment where adaptability and a keen eye are essential. Applicants should have their own camera package suitable for feature film production (e.g., Blackmagic Pocket 6K/4K, Sony FX series, Canon C series or similar) and associated lenses, batteries, and necessary support equipment. Please have a strong reel demonstrating your camera operating skills across various genres. While experience is a plus, we're open to passionate individuals at any career stage. Shoot dates are approximately late June to early July, typically 10-12 hour days. We'll provide craft services, catering, and a supportive, creative atmosphere.
