Gaffer (Senior) for Brooklyn Music Video

We're looking for a seasoned Gaffer for an upcoming hip-hop music video shooting in Brooklyn. This project has a vibrant, high-energy aesthetic with some stylized performance and narrative elements, offering a great opportunity to get creative with lighting. We need someone who can translate the DP's vision into tangible lighting setups efficiently and effectively. You'll be responsible for overseeing the lighting crew, managing equipment, and executing complex lighting schemes on set. We're seeking someone with extensive music video or commercial experience, a strong portfolio showcasing diverse lighting work, and a solid understanding of current lighting technologies and safety protocols. Please have access to a basic gaffing package (stands, stingers, distributions, etc.) though we will be renting larger specialized units as needed. Shoot dates are TBD but targeting late June, early July, typically 10-12 hour days. A lighting truck and additional crew (electrics, grips) will be provided. The rate for this position is $1000-1500 per day. Please send your reel and relevant experience.
