Corporate Video Screenwriter - Entry Level
An independent production is seeking an entry-level Screenwriter for an upcoming corporate video project. This piece will be a 3-5 minute narrative-driven video, designed to showcase innovative workplace technology in a positive, aspirational tone. We're looking for someone who can craft engaging, character-focused stories that connect with a professional audience, avoiding dry, technical jargon. This is a great opportunity to get paid screenwriting experience on a professional set. Key responsibilities include developing story concepts, writing a full script (including dialogue and basic scene descriptions), and incorporating feedback from our small production team. We are looking for clear, concise storytelling. Candidates should have a strong portfolio showcasing writing samples (short film scripts, web series, or similar narrative content are ideal), excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude. While no specific gear is required for this writing role, familiarity with screenwriting software is a plus. The script development period will be approximately 3 weeks of work, starting around October 1, 2026, with principal photography scheduled for a 1-2 day shoot around November 2, 2026. Compensation is $300-500/day for writing work, paid upon script delivery. This is a remote position, but the production is based in Toronto, ON.
