Web Series Screenwriter, Sci-Fi Comedy

Our independent production is seeking an entry-level screenwriter to join our small team for an upcoming web series. This project is a lighthearted, character-driven sci-fi comedy, blending the humor of everyday life with unexpected futuristic elements. We're looking for someone who can craft witty dialogue, develop engaging plotlines, and contribute fresh ideas to our universe. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the show creator to outline episodes, writing script drafts based on provided treatments, incorporating feedback, and ensuring continuity across episodes. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in a fast-paced creative environment. Experience with screenwriting software is required, and a portfolio or writing samples showcasing your narrative voice, ideally in comedy or sci-fi, are essential. While no specific gear is needed, strong organizational skills and reliable internet access for remote collaboration are a must. We anticipate a workload of approximately 3-4 days per week, with flexible hours. Compensation is paid daily at $300-500.
