Senior Editor, Music Video (Volunteer)

Hey everyone, I'm Sierra, a Hair Department Head working on an exciting new music video and we're looking for a talented, passionate Senior Editor to join our team in Los Angeles. This is a volunteer, passion project for an independent artist with a really unique sound, blending indie pop with some darker, atmospheric elements. Think art-house vibes meets a catchy beat. We've got a compelling visual concept that I think you'll really dig. As our Senior Editor, you'd be responsible for assembling the raw footage into a polished, dynamic final product that truly captures the artist's vision and the song's energy. This involves everything from initial assembly to color correction, sound sync, and finessing the overall flow and pacing. We're looking for someone with a strong sense of rhythm and storytelling, able to evoke emotion and maintain visual interest throughout. We need someone with extensive experience editing music videos or similar fast-paced content, a understanding of editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.) and a keen eye for detail. Please have a strong reel showcasing your best work. While we appreciate all skill levels, for this project we especially need someone who can hit the ground running with minimal supervision. Shoot dates are primarily concentrated over two long weekends in late July, early August but exact editing hours are flexible to your schedule, as long as deliverables are met. We're a tight-knit, collaborative crew and while this is a volunteer position, it's a fantastic opportunity to work on a creatively driven project, build your reel, and connect with other dedicated filmmakers.
