Best Boy/Girl Electric, Pilot, Vancouver

Pilot Lighting Vancouver, BC any Budget: $2000-3000/week

Hey everyone, I'm Jason Fong, a Gaffer here in Vancouver, and I'm looking for a solid Best Boy/Girl Electric for an upcoming pilot. This is an independent production, a darkly comedic drama with some really interesting visual opportunities. We'll be shooting primarily practical interiors and night exteriors, so someone who's resourceful and thinks creatively about light will do really well. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with rigging, power distribution, managing lighting inventory, and generally supporting the Gaffer and Electric Department. We're looking for someone with any level of experience, whether you're just starting out or have a few projects under your belt. A basic understanding of electrical safety and lighting equipment is a plus, but we're happy to teach the right person. If you have any gear you like to work with, let us know. Shoot dates are approximately 3-4 weeks in late spring, mostly 10-12 hour days. Located here in Vancouver, BC. We're offering a competitive rate of $2000-$3000 per week, depending on experience. We'll provide all major lighting units and consumables. If you're keen to be part of a passionate crew and bring some great light to this project, please send over a resume or a brief email about your experience, even if it's limited, and any relevant work you've done. Looking forward to hearing from you!
