Gaffer (Entry) for Fantasy Short Film

Hey everyone, I'm an editor working on an independent fantasy short film and we're looking for an entry-level Gaffer to join our crew. This project is a really ambitious, character-driven piece with a magical realism tone, exploring themes of memory and loss through evocative visuals. We've got some cool lighting opportunities to create unique atmosphere and help tell the story. You'll be working closely with our DP to execute the lighting design, handle grip equipment, and ensure everything runs safely. This means responsibilities will include setting up and striking lights, managing power, and generally supporting the electrical department. We're looking for someone who's eager to learn, has a strong work ethic, and ideally, some basic knowledge of lighting equipment and electricity. A reel or examples of previous work, even student projects, would be a big plus. We're shooting over 3-4 days, likely mid-July, for approximately 10-12 hour days. We'll provide all necessary lighting and grip gear, transportation to set if needed, and meals. Compensation is negotiable depending on experience. Come help us make something special!
