Gaffer (Senior) for Indie Drama Short
Hey filmmakers, I'm Nina, a screenwriter, and I'm looking for a senior Gaffer to light my upcoming dramatic short film. It's a character-driven story, very intimate and atmospheric, focusing on a woman dealing with loss. We're aiming for a moody, naturalistic so your ability to shape light subtly will be key. You'll be responsible for the overall lighting design and execution, working closely with our DP to achieve challenging emotional states through lighting. We need someone with extensive experience in independent productions, who can get the most out of a limited lighting package, and ideally brings their own basic kit, though we'll be renting the main fixtures. Please have a strong reel demonstrating your dramatic work. We're shooting for approximately 5 days around late August/early September in various Brooklyn locations. Long days, but we'll include meals and a great crew vibe. Pay is $500-800/day, depending on your experience and equipment contribution. Looking forward to seeing your work!
