Directing for Commercial

Seeking a talented Director to lead our upcoming commercial shoot in Toronto. We're looking for someone to bring an engaging, dynamic vision to a short form branded content piece for a local tech startup. This isn't your average talking-head ad; we're aiming for something visually sophisticated and narrative-driven, with a focus on human connection and innovation. Your day one task will be to jump into pre-production meetings, developing the visual language and shot list. Key responsibilities include overseeing all creative aspects of the production, guiding cast and crew, and ensuring the final product aligns with the client's brief and our creative goals. We expect you to bring strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently within a commercial timeline. You should have a proven track record of directing compelling short-form content. Please provide a link to your directing reel or relevant commercial work. For gear, we'll be providing a full camera and lighting package, so you won't need to bring your own. Shoot dates are tentatively set for mid-July, lasting approximately 2-3 days, with 10-hour days. We're offering a paid rate of $300-500/day, depending on experience. This is a great opportunity to add a strong commercial piece to your portfolio with an independent production team.
