Web Series Director, Entry Level (Equity)
Hey filmmakers, I'm a cinematographer (Sarah Chen) putting together a team for an independent web series, and we're on the hunt for a passionate, driven director. This is a dramatic comedy series, aiming for a smart, modern feel, exploring relatable relationship dynamics with a fresh perspective. We've got a fantastic script and a committed core crew, and we're really excited about building something impactful. As our director, you'll be responsible for bringing the script to life, collaborating closely with me on visual storytelling, and guiding our actors to deliver compelling performances. You'll also oversee creative decisions throughout pre-production and on set, ensuring a cohesive vision. This is an entry level opportunity, perfect for someone with a strong artistic voice looking to gain directing experience on a long-form project. We require a reel or examples of your previous directing work, even if it's short films or student projects. While this is an equity partnership, meaning no upfront pay, we're dedicated to making this project a success for everyone involved. Approximate shoot dates are set for late summer and fall in Los Angeles, likely 2-3 days per week. We'll be providing equipment (camera, lighting, sound gear) and basic craft services. We're looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative, independent production environment and is ready to pour their creative energy into this series. Let's make something great together!
