Directing for Music Video

Los Angeles, CA shoot, late May (approx. 2 days), for an independent music video. We're looking for a talented and creative Director for an upcoming project, a gritty, atmospheric hip-hop track with a narrative leaning into urban decay and resilience. Think stark visuals, dynamic framing, and a strong sense of place. We want someone who can bring a unique vision and translate the song's energy into compelling visuals. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the artist, developing the visual concept, leading the crew on set, and guiding the overall creative direction. You'll work closely with post-production to ensure the final edit aligns with your vision. Applicants should have a strong reel demonstrating experience directing music videos or stylistically similar short-form content. While we’re providing basic gear, familiarity with common camera systems and lighting techniques is a plus. Please submit your reel, a brief CV, and any relevant references. Shoot days are 10-12 hours, with some pre-production meetings. Compensation is $100-200/day. Meals and craft services will be provided on set.
