Director: Atmospheric Short Film (Volunteer)

Hey filmmakers, I'm Robin, a storyboard artist putting together an independent production for an upcoming dramatic short. We're looking for a passionate Director to bring our script, a moody character study set in a Chicago during a polar vortex, to life. Think psychological tension with a stark, visual aesthetic. This is a chance to tell a compelling story on a tight budget. As Director, you'll be responsible for creative leadership, guiding performances, and translating the script into a cohesive visual narrative. We're open to all experience levels; your vision and collaborative spirit are what matter most. We'd love to see a reel or previous work, even if it's student films or short exercises, that demonstrates your directorial voice. We don't expect you to bring gear (we're pulling together what we can), just your talent and dedication. Shoot dates are tentatively planned for 3-4 days in late spring, early summer, primarily on weekends or evenings depending on availability. This is a volunteer, passion project, but we're committed to making something special together. We'll provide craft services and a great set experience. Hope to hear from you!
