Director: Sci-Fi Pilot (Paid)

Seeking an imaginative Director for an upcoming sci-fi pilot, a proof-of-concept for a larger series. This independent production blends cerebral themes with an intimate, character-driven story, aiming for a grounded yet visually compelling tone. We're looking for someone who can craft powerful performances and translate a unique vision onto the screen. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the producer and DP, leading the cast and crew on set, and ensuring the story's emotional arc is effectively communicated. We need a director with a strong interpretive eye and clear communication skills. Please submit your reel and any relevant directing samples that showcase your narrative style, especially if you have experience with sci-fi or similar character-focused dramas. Shoot dates are approximately 3-4 days in late summer/early fall in Toronto, typically 10-12 hour days. Compensation is $500-800 per day, depending on experience.
