Entry-Level Doc Director - Atlanta
Hey all, we're looking for a passionate, entry-level Director for an independent documentary project filming in and around Atlanta. This is a character-driven doc exploring untold stories of resilience in local communities, with a positive, impactful tone. We're aiming for something insightful and visually engaging. As Director, you'll be responsible for creative leadership on set, working closely with the Cinematographer, shaping the narrative, and guiding our subjects to tell their stories authentically. We need someone who can inspire and collaborate effectively, with a keen eye for compelling human interest. We don't require extensive directing credits, but a strong portfolio of short-form content, even student films or personal projects, showcasing your visual storytelling and ability to connect with people is essential. Please have a reel or a selection of your work ready for review. This is an unpaid, co-producer credit position with backend participation, fostering a true partnership. We anticipate principal photography starting in late spring, early summer, with flexible shoot days determined by subject availability, usually 8-10 hour days. We'll be providing all necessary camera and sound equipment, and transportation to locations within Atlanta. Looking forward to seeing your work!
