Commercial Director, NYC, Mid-Level, Revenue Share

Looking for a talented Director to helm an upcoming commercial project in New York City. This campaign is for a locally-owned, artisanal coffee brand, focusing on an authentic, warm, and inviting tone. We're aiming for a cinematic feel that elevates the everyday ritual of coffee drinking, so a strong visual storytelling sense is key. Think natural light, genuine reactions, and an intimate aesthetic. This is an independent production with a passionate crew. Your primary responsibilities will include working with the small production company to develop the creative vision, leading cast and crew on set, and overseeing the final edit. We're looking for someone with around 3-5 years of directing experience, specifically in commercial or narrative short-form content. You should have a proven track record of bringing a strong creative voice to projects and managing a set efficiently. Please provide a link to your reel showcasing relevant work. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for late September, early October, over 3-4 full days. Hours will be typical production hours. We'll be handling all equipment rentals, locations, and crewing. This is a revenue share opportunity, designed to reward your creative contribution directly as the project succeeds.
