Director, Web Series (Sci-Fi Comedy)

Hey filmmakers, I'm a Wardrobe Supervisor working on an exciting new sci-fi comedy web series and we're looking for a talented Director to join our team as an equity partner. This project is a really fun, quirky take on alien invasions, blending dry humor with surprising heart. Think 'Flight of the Conchords' meets 'Men in Black' on a shoestring budget. Your primary role will be bringing our scripts to life, guiding performances, and working closely with our small but dedicated crew. You'll be responsible for shotlisting, blocking, and maintaining the overall vision and tone we’ve established. We're looking for someone who can be resourceful and creative in an independent production environment. While experience is open, a strong reel demonstrating your storytelling abilities, especially with comedic timing and visual narrative, is crucial. You should be based in Los Angeles or able to work locally. We're aiming for a 5-6 day shoot sometime in late Summer/early Fall, with exact dates to be locked in soon. This is a passion project for all involved, so we're offering an equity partnership in the series. We'll handle locations, basic equipment, and catering on shoot days.
