Editing for Feature Film

We need an Assistant Editor to join our independent production team for an upcoming feature film. This is an exciting opportunity to get hands-on experience on a character-driven drama, with elements of psychological thriller, exploring themes of memory and perception. The tone is intense and atmospheric, with a focus on nuanced performances. Your key responsibilities will include ingesting and organizing footage, syncing audio, creating dailies, preparing sequences for the editor, and managing media. Experience with Avid Media Composer is a must, and familiarity with project organization best practices is highly valued. We're looking for someone enthusiastic and detail-oriented, eager to learn and contribute. Please provide a short portfolio or reel showcasing any editing or organizational work you've done, even student projects. This is a London-based position. Post-production is expected to run for approximately 8-10 weeks, starting around October 12, 2026. While the compensation is deferred, offering a backend percentage, this is a chance to be part of a passionate team with a project we believe has strong festival potential. We can provide a dedicated editing suite, but bringing your own laptop (with Avid installed) for overflow or specific tasks would be beneficial. We'd like to hear from you by October 9, 2026.
