Editing for Pilot

We are seeking a talented Assistant Editor for an independent half-hour comedy pilot, a witty take on modern workplace dynamics in a tech startup. This project promises a lot of laughs and a fresh perspective, with a fast-paced, contemporary tone. We’re aiming for a strong festival run and potential series development. As our Assistant Editor, you'll be crucial in organizing footage, syncing audio, creating dailies, managing proxies, and preparing timelines for the lead editor. We’ll also need your help with basic sound design, music placement, and graphic integration as needed. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone looking to gain valuable experience on a narrative production. Candidates should be proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and have a strong understanding of post-production workflows. While we prefer candidates with their own workstation setup, we can discuss providing a temporary editing station if absolutely necessary. Please provide a link to your reel or relevant work samples demonstrating your organizational skills and editing instincts. We anticipate about 3-4 weeks of work, starting in the last week of September 2026. This is a deferred pay position, reflecting the independent nature of the project.
