Location Scout/Manager for Commercial Shoot (Vancouver)

Hey everyone, I'm a camera operator working on an exciting upcoming commercial project here in Vancouver. We're looking for a dedicated Location Scout and/or Manager to join our small, independent production team. This commercial has a really fresh, energetic vibe, focusing on showcasing local artisan products in unique, visually appealing settings. Your main responsibilities will include identifying, researching, and securing a variety of indoor and outdoor locations that align with our creative vision. This involves everything from initial scouting photos and videos to managing permits, agreements, and on-set logistics closer to the shoot. We're open to all experience levels, from passionate newcomers eager to learn to seasoned pros. What's most important is a keen eye, good communication skills, and knowledge of Vancouver and surrounding areas. While specific gear isn't required (we'll provide what's needed for location scouting), a personal vehicle would be a huge asset for getting around. Some of your previous scouting work or a portfolio of locations you've found would be great to see, if you have one. Shoot dates are approximate, probably 2-3 days in mid-July, with part-time scouting work leading up to it. Compensation will be on a points basis, with deferred payment upon project sale.
