Entry-Level Production Designer, Pilot
Seeking an enthusiastic entry-level Production Designer for a dramatic pilot, shooting in Los Angeles. This independent production explores themes of self-discovery and urban isolation, offering a visually rich and emotionally resonant story. We're looking for someone who can bring a fresh perspective to creating believable, character-driven environments on a tight budget. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the director to develop the visual style, sourcing and managing props, set dressing, and assisting with location scouting for aesthetic potential. You'll be instrumental in translating the script's mood into tangible visual elements. This is a great opportunity to gain significant experience on a narrative project. Ideal candidates will have some experience in art department roles, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to work resourcefully. While we're not expecting extensive professional credits, a compelling portfolio or reel showcasing your design sensibilities (even from student films or personal projects) is essential. Access to a vehicle is a plus for prop runs. This role is for approximately 1-2 days of prep work, followed by a 3-day shoot, aiming for late August or early September 2026. Compensation is $150-300 per day, depending on experience. Meals and craft services will be provided on set. We're a small, dedicated team, and we value collaborative spirit and a positive attitude.
