Documentary Production Design New Orleans, LA mid Budget: Backend percentage

Following a Mardi Gras Indian tribe as they prepare for and participate in Carnival, this feature documentary explores tradition, community, and artistry. We're looking for a mid-level Production Designer based in New Orleans to help bring our vision to life. You'll be responsible for scouting, dressing, and maintaining the visual integrity of various locations, primarily homes and cultural spaces. This isn't about building elaborate sets, but rather enhancing existing environments to reflect the rich culture we're documenting. You should have a good eye for detail, be resourceful, and be able to work independently. A strong reel showcasing your design sensibilities, even for smaller projects, is important. We're aiming for principal photography to begin in September 2026, running for about 3 weeks of work. Compensation is backend percentage for this independent production. We'll provide a modest budget for materials and cover any necessary travel within the New Orleans area.
