Entry-Level Sound Designer, Commercial

Commercial Sound Design New York, NY entry Budget: $150-300/day

Hey everyone, Sam here (I'm a boom op usually). I'm putting together a small crew for an upcoming commercial project and need someone sharp to handle the sound design. This is for an independent production, a pretty quick turnaround spot for a new tech product. It's got a modern, sleek vibe, with some cool visual effects, so we need the audio to really enhance that futuristic feel without being over the top. We're looking for someone with a good ear and a fresh perspective. Your main responsibilities will be creating and integrating sound effects, atmospheric elements, and foley, as well as helping with final mix prep. You should be proficient with industry-standard DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic, etc.) and have access to your own basic sound library and editing rig. We're definitely looking for someone who's building their portfolio, so if you've got a reel, even if it's student work or personal projects, please send it over. Shoot dates are approximate, but we're looking at a 3-4 day commitment in early July, with some flexibility for pre and post production work. Expect 10-hour days on set. We're covering all locations, talent, and main production gear, and of course, daily rates are $150-300 depending on experience. This is a great opportunity to get some commercial credits on your resume in a collaborative environment in New York City.
