Sound Design for Feature Film

We need an experienced Sound Designer to join our independent feature film, bringing our compelling psychological thriller to life. This project explores themes of isolation and paranoia, requiring a nuanced soundscape to enhance the tension and character arcs. You'll be responsible for all aspects of post-production sound, including sound effects editing, foley, dialogue cleanup, and final mix preparation. We're looking for someone who can work creatively within a tight budget to deliver high-quality audio that truly elevates the film. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of experience in film sound design, a strong reel showcasing their work, and their own software/plugin setup (e.g., Pro Tools, Izotope RX). While we'll provide the picture lock and a general direction, we're seeking a collaborator who can contribute their own vision. This is a Los Angeles-based role, primarily remote but with occasional in-person sessions for review. The estimated workload is about 3-4 weeks, starting in early November 2026, with a daily rate of $100-200, depending on experience and scope.
