Senior Sound Designer for Sci-Fi Pilot (LA)

Seeking a Senior Sound Designer for an upcoming independent sci-fi pilot, offering $150-300/day. This project blends gritty realism with subtle futuristic elements, exploring themes of memory and perception. We're looking for someone to craft an immersive soundscape that enhances the tension and emotional depth of our story, moving beyond typical sci-fi clichés. Key responsibilities include creating original sound effects, foley, and atmosphere, as well as mixing dialogue, music, and effects into a cohesive final track. You'll be instrumental in defining the sonic identity of this world. We need someone with proven experience in post-production sound for narrative film, a strong portfolio showcasing creative sound design, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines. Must be based in Los Angeles and have your own professional sound design software and access to a reliable workstation. Post-production for sound is scheduled for October 2026, estimated to be about three weeks of work.
