Sound Design for Feature Film
We're an independent production seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Sound Designer for an upcoming project, a gritty psychological drama set in contemporary London. The film explores themes of memory, identity, and urban alienation, requiring a nuanced and atmospheric soundscape to enhance its intense emotional core. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on feature film experience. Key responsibilities include assisting the lead Sound Designer with editing dialogue, foley, and sound effects, organizing project files, performing basic sound cleanup, and helping with sound library management. You'll be working closely with the lead designer, learning the ropes on a fast-paced project. We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of a DAW (Pro Tools preferred), good organizational skills, and a passion for film sound. Please include a link to your sound design reel or portfolio demonstrating your capabilities, even if it's student work. While specific gear isn't required for this assistant role, familiarity with common audio equipment is a plus. This position is based in London, UK, and will involve approximately 3-4 weeks of work, primarily in late October and early November 2026, with flexible hours. We're offering a daily rate of $200-400, commensurate with experience. All necessary software licenses and studio space will be provided. Please submit your application by October 19, 2026.
