Entry-Level VFX Artist, Romantic Comedy Web Series

Hey all, I'm a re-recording mixer working on an independent romantic comedy web series being shot in Chicago, and we're looking for an entry-level VFX artist to join our passionate crew. This is a volunteer, passion project for an upcoming independent production, but it's a great chance to get some solid portfolio work and experience on a fun, heartfelt story. Our web series is a charming, quirky rom-com focusing on the awkward and humorous challenges of modern dating. We've got a fantastic script and a dedicated team, just need someone to help bring some visual flair to a few key scenes. Key responsibilities will involve compositing, basic wire removal, and minor digital set extensions. We're not talking huge explosions here, more about subtle enhancements that elevate the humor and charm. You should have some foundational knowledge of relevant software (After Effects, Nuke, Fusion, etc.) and a keen eye for detail. While we don't expect a seasoned pro, a reel or portfolio demonstrating your capabilities, even student work or personal projects, is a must. We're planning to shoot throughout various weekends over the next two months, primarily in and around the Chicago area. We're flexible and can work around your availability.
