Mid-Level VFX Supervisor, Web Series

Hey folks, Alana here, I'm putting together the VFX team for an exciting new web series and looking for a mid-level VFX Supervisor. It's a dark comedy, sci-fi series with a very unique visual style, featuring some interesting creature work and environmental extensions. Think early Black Mirror meets What We Do in the Shadows. We're looking for someone to oversee the VFX pipeline, guide the team, and ensure creative consistency across all shots. Key responsibilities include shot breakdown, workflow management, vendor communication, and offering creative input on visual solutions. You'll need previous experience as a VFX Supervisor or Lead Compositor on independent productions, a solid understanding of CG integration, compositing pipelines, and project management. Experience with Nuke, Maya, and preferably Houdini is a big plus. A strong reel showcasing your supervisory and creative work is essential. We're aiming to begin post-production in late spring, likely June or July, for about 10-12 weeks, with flexible hours. We'll be working remotely for the most part, but with some opportunity for in-person collaboration in Vancouver, BC if you're local. This is a deferred payment project with points, but a great opportunity to make your mark on a really cool project.
