VFX for Documentary

Documentary VFX Los Angeles, CA mid Budget: Meals + copy

Hey filmmakers, I'm Ricky Pham, a Playback Operator currently working on an independent documentary feature exploring the unsung heroes of climate change activism. It's a powerful, inspiring story with a humanistic tone that we believe will genuinely resonate. We're looking for a talented mid-level VFX Artist to join our small, passionate crew for this upcoming project. Your primary responsibilities will include creating and integrating subtle, realistic visual effects. This might involve tasks like greenscreen keying, rotoscoping, clean-up, monitor comps, and potentially some minor environmental enhancements to support the narrative. We're not looking for explosions, but rather effects that enhance without distracting. Ideally, you should have your own workstation capable of handling VFX software like After Effects, Nuke, or Fusion. Experience working on documentary or indie film projects is a big plus. Please provide a reel demonstrating your skills in realistic compositing and clean-up. We're aiming for principal photography to wrap by late summer, with post-production and your involvement kicking off shortly after. This is a volunteer position, but we'll provide meals on set (if applicable) and a copy of the final film for your portfolio. Hours will be flexible and project-based. Let's make something amazing together!
