Directing for Pilot

Hey fellow filmmakers, I'm a VFX artist working on an exciting independent pilot and we're looking for a talented Director to bring our vision to life. This is a speculative sci-fi drama, imagine 'Black Mirror' meets 'Her,' exploring themes of technology, connection, and isolation in a near-future San Francisco. We have a compelling script and a passionate, dedicated team ready to dive in. Your main responsibilities will include guiding the creative vision, working closely with the cast and crew, and ensuring a cohesive narrative flow. This is a truly collaborative environment, and we're looking for someone who can inspire and lead. As this is an entry-level position, we're particularly interested in fresh perspectives and innovative approaches. You should have a solid understanding of visual storytelling and a strong sense of character development. Please have a directing reel or relevant work samples ready to share that demonstrate your directorial style and storytelling abilities. While we won't be providing extensive gear, we have access to basic production equipment, and we're open to working with whatever you can bring to the table. Shoot dates are TBD but will likely be over 3-4 consecutive weekends in late spring or early summer, approximately 10-12 hour days. This is a deferred compensation project, offering a backend percentage once distribution is secured. We'll be providing craft services and a great set experience. Looking forward to seeing your work!
