Cinematography for Short Film

Hey everyone, I'm Antoine Marsh, a Camera Operator here in New Orleans. I'm looking to staff an A Cam Operator for an upcoming short film, a psychological thriller with elements of southern gothic. We're aiming for a moody, atmospheric playing with light and shadow to build tension. This will be a great opportunity for someone building their reel, as we have a strong directorial vision and some really compelling visuals planned. Your primary responsibility will be operating the A-camera, collaborating closely with the Director of Photography and me to execute shot lists and achieve the desired aesthetic. We're looking for someone with solid experience in camera operation, ideally with a strong understanding of visual storytelling within a dramatic context. You should be comfortable with various camera movements and techniques. Please have a current reel showcasing your operating work. Experience with Arri or Blackmagic cameras is a huge plus. Shoot dates are approximately late June, early July, for about 3-4 days, with typical 10-12 hour days. We'll be shooting entirely in and around New Orleans. We'll provide the camera package, lenses, and all necessary grip and electric gear. Compensation for this role is between $500-800 per day, depending on experience.
