Director, Drama Pilot (Brooklyn)

Seeking an experienced Director for a dramatic independent pilot. This project is a character-driven, emotionally complex story exploring themes of family, legacy, and gentrification in Brooklyn. We're looking for someone with a strong visual style who can guide nuanced performances and has experience working with limited resources on set. Responsibilities include overseeing all creative aspects of the shoot, working closely with myself, the screenwriter, and the rest of the crew to bring the script to life. You'll be responsible for shot listing, blocking, and leading the cast and crew effectively. Applicants should have a proven track record directing narrative fiction, ideally at a senior level. Please submit your reel and a brief cover letter outlining your approach to character-driven drama. We're open to unique perspectives. Gear will be provided, but a director's experience with various camera systems is a plus. Shoot dates are TBD, likely 3-4 days in late spring, early summer. Expect long but fulfilling days. This is a paid position, $250/day flat.
