Gaffer (Entry-Level), Web Series
Hey everyone, Troy Mathis here, one of the grips on an upcoming independent web series. We're on the hunt for an enthusiastic, entry-level Gaffer to join our lighting department in Atlanta. This series is an exciting, character-driven drama with a gritty, naturalistic visual style. Think lots of practicals and shaping natural light. It's a fantastic opportunity to gain experience on a dynamic set and build your portfolio. Your main responsibilities will be working closely with the Cinematographer and me to execute their lighting vision, managing our modest lighting package, and ensuring safety on set. We're looking for someone with a basic understanding of lighting principles, DMX, and general set etiquette. While we have some gear, if you have access to a small lighting package or specific fixtures, that's a plus, but not required. Please include a link to your reel or any relevant work you've done. Our shoot dates are approximate, expected in late summer, about 4-5 weeks total. Days will be 10-12 hours. We'll provide lunch, snacks, and a great, collaborative environment. Looking forward to hearing from you!
