Gaffer for Sci-Fi Drama Pilot (Miami, Deferred Pay)

Looking for a skilled Gaffer to join our upcoming sci-fi drama pilot. This project explores themes of artificial intelligence and human connection, aiming for a grounded, cinematic tone despite the fantastical elements. We're telling a compelling story with a small, dedicated crew and need someone passionate about visual storytelling. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and executing lighting schemes to achieve the director's vision, managing lighting equipment, and working closely with the Cinematographer. We'll be relying on your expertise to help us get a really polished look on a tight schedule. Looking for someone with mid-level experience on independent productions, a strong understanding of lighting principles, and ideally, your own basic grip and electric package or the ability to source one efficiently. Please have a reel or examples of previous work showcasing your lighting skills. Shoot dates are approximately late July to early August, for about 4-5 days. Days will be full, but we prioritize a collaborative and respectful set. Compensation is backend percentage, a common model for passion projects like this, offering a stake in our success. We'll provide craft services and a great group of people to work with.
