Gaffer (Senior) - Independent Feature Film, Atlanta

We're on the hunt for an experienced Gaffer for an upcoming independent feature film shooting in Atlanta. This is a gritty, character-driven psychological thriller, so we're looking for someone creative with an eye for dramatic, tension-building lighting. We need someone who can work closely with the Director of Photography to bring our vision to life. You'll be responsible for designing and executing the lighting plot, managing the lighting crew, and ensuring all electrical safety protocols are met. We're looking for a Gaffer who can work efficiently and innovatively within a tighter budget. You should have your own basic G&E package, though we'll be renting additional specialized equipment as needed. Prior experience as a Gaffer on at least 2-3 feature films is essential, please provide a link to your reel or portfolio showcasing your narrative work. Shoot dates are TBD but looking at a 4-5 week principal photography window in late Q3, early Q4. Expect 12-hour days, sometimes more depending on location and shot list. Lunch and craft services will be provided daily. This is a paid position, $250/day flat rate.
