Production for Documentary
Hey filmmakers! We're looking for a Camera Production Assistant for an upcoming independent documentary project here in Toronto. This film explores the vibrant, underground street art scene, focusing on a few incredible local artists and their creative process. It's got a really energetic, authentic vibe we're excited about capturing. Your main responsibilities will involve supporting our camera department, including battery management, media wrangling, slate operation, and assisting with setup/teardown. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience on a documentary set. We're looking for someone enthusiastic and reliable. No specific gear is required, but an understanding of basic camera department workflow is a huge plus. Any prior experience as a PA or set runner is great, and please share a brief cover letter telling us why you're interested. This is an entry-level role, perfect for someone looking to break into documentary. Shoot dates are approximately 5-7 days spread across late July and early August, with 10-hour days including breaks. Lunch and snacks will be provided on set. Pay is $300-500/day, depending on experience. Looking forward to hearing from you!
