Gaffer (Senior), Web Series

Hey filmmakers, we're looking for a seasoned Gaffer for an upcoming independent web series. It's a dark comedy, kind of a quirky ensemble piece with some subtle surrealist elements. Think early Coen Brothers meets 'Flight of the Conchords' vibe. We need someone who can translate that tone visually and help us craft some beautiful, moody scenes without a massive gear budget. Your main responsibilities will be collaborating with our DP to design and execute the lighting plan, leading our electric team, and ensuring all safety protocols are met. We're looking for someone with extensive web series or indie feature experience, a strong portfolio or reel showcasing your work, and the ability to work resourcefully. Bringing some of your own essential grip and electric gear is a huge plus, but we have a base package. Shoot dates are approximately 10 days over 2-3 weeks in April in various locations around NYC. Exact schedule is TBD but typically 10-12 hour days. Compensation is deferred, common for indie projects like this, with a profit participation model once distribution is secured.
