Line Producer, Indie Short Film (Cape Town)

Hey everyone, I'm Aisha Mbeki, a director working on an upcoming independent short film and I'm looking for an experienced Line Producer to join our team. This is a gritty, character-driven drama set against the backdrop of Cape Town, focusing on themes of family and resilience. It's a passion project, but we're aiming for festival distribution and taking it seriously. Your main responsibilities will include managing the budget and schedule, overseeing logistics, securing locations, and generally keeping our production running smoothly. We need someone who can solve problems creatively and efficiently, making sure we stay on track despite the usual indie film challenges. You’ll be the backbone of our practical operations. We need someone with several years of line producing experience, especially on short films or similar independent productions. A strong understanding of local Cape Town resources and regulations is a big plus. While we're based in Cape Town, we are open to remote work for the right candidate, though some on-the-ground presence will be necessary during key phases.
