Location Scout/Manager, Detroit Commercial

We need a Location Scout/Manager for an upcoming commercial project, a fast-paced ad for an innovative tech product that involves dynamic, high-energy shots. Think sleek, modern architecture and vibrant urban spaces around Detroit. This is a great chance to build your reel and network on a professional set. Your main responsibility will be finding and securing diverse locations that fit our visual style, as well as managing logistics on shoot days. This includes obtaining necessary permits, coordinating access, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations during filming. We're looking for someone resourceful and organized, with a good eye for compelling backdrops and an understanding of Detroit's landscape. While this is an entry-level role, prior experience with location scouting or event coordination is a plus. You'll need reliable transportation and good communication skills. We'll provide meals and a copy of the finished commercial for your reel. We anticipate prep work will begin in late September 2026, leading into a 1-2 day shoot in October 2026. Hours will be typical production hours on shoot days, with flexible prep work beforehand. This is an independent production with a small, dedicated crew.
