Locations for Documentary
An intimate documentary exploring the untold stories behind Nashville’s iconic music venues needs a dedicated Location Scout and Manager. This independent production, focusing on the historical and cultural significance of these spaces, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a deeply personal and impactful film. We're looking for someone to help identify and secure a diverse range of locations, from legendary stages to hidden gems, and manage the logistics of filming within them. Key responsibilities include scouting potential sites, negotiating access and permits, liaising with venue owners, and managing on-set location practicalities during production. While no specific gear is required, a reliable vehicle and a strong understanding of Nashville's geography are essential. Experience in production, especially with location work, is a plus, but we are open to passionate individuals new to the film industry who are eager to learn and contribute. This is a crucial role for our upcoming project. Prep work would begin in late August 2026, with principal photography scheduled for a few weeks in early September 2026. We anticipate a total commitment of about 3-4 weeks. Compensation for this role is offered as a Co-producer credit and backend participation, reflecting a partnership approach to filmmaking.
