Locations for Pilot

For an independent pilot shooting in Vancouver, BC in September 2026, we're seeking a dedicated Entry-Level Locations Assistant. This is a compact, character-driven dramatic piece with light sci-fi elements, exploring themes of memory and connection. It's a passion project for a small production company, with a tight-knit crew, offering a great opportunity to gain on-set experience. We anticipate a 5-day shoot, though exact dates are TBD, likely in the first half of September 2026. This role is expected to involve about 2-3 weeks of work in total, including prep. Key responsibilities include assisting the Locations Manager with scouting logistics, preparing location agreements, coordinating with property owners, managing permits, and helping with on-set location management. You will help ensure locations are prepped for filming and restored post-shoot. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential for this role, as some travel around the Vancouver area will be required. Previous experience in film production, even as a PA, is a plus but not strictly necessary; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are paramount. This is a TBD compensation role.
