Locations Scout, Feature Film (Equity)

Hey everyone, Mei-Lin here. We're on the hunt for an enthusiastic entry-level Locations Scout for an upcoming independent feature film. It's a psychological drama with some really compelling, gritty themes, exploring the complexities of memory and perception. We're aiming for a very specific, atmospheric feel, which makes the locations absolutely crucial. You'll be assisting our Locations Manager with researching, identifying, and securing potential filming locations around Toronto. This includes taking photos, gathering information, checking accessibility, and occasionally liaising with property owners. It's a fantastic opportunity to learn the ropes of a feature film from the ground up. While experience is a plus, your enthusiasm and a keen eye for detail are what matter most. We're not looking for specific gear, but reliable transportation (GTA access is key) is a must. If you've got a personal portfolio, even just photos you've taken out exploring, we'd love to see it. Shoot dates are approximate and will fall within late summer, early fall. This is a partnership opportunity, meaning compensation is equity-based, reflecting your commitment to the project.
