Production Design for Documentary
A poetic exploration of Dublin's hidden waterways, this independent documentary seeks a talented Senior Production Designer to help bring its evocative vision to life. We're crafting a film that blends historical narrative with contemporary visual storytelling, aiming for a raw, authentic, and subtly artful aesthetic. Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with the director and cinematographer to develop the visual concept, overseeing set dressing and location enhancements (minimal builds expected), sourcing props, and managing the art department budget. You'll ensure all visual elements align with the film's tone and historical accuracy where applicable. We need someone with significant experience in documentary or independent narrative film, a strong portfolio showcasing your design sensibility, and a keen eye for detail. Experience working with small, agile teams is a plus. We are looking for someone available for prep work beginning the first week of October 2026, leading into an estimated 3-4 week shoot schedule primarily in the second half of November 2026. This role is based in Dublin, IE. Basic equipment and materials will be provided, but your expertise and creative input are paramount. Please share your reel and CV. We're aiming to make a decision by November 14, 2026, so please apply before then.
