Production Design for Web Series

After a group of estranged friends reconnect for a game night, they uncover a murder mystery that forces them to confront their past secrets. We're looking for a talented Production Designer to join our independent production, a dark comedy web series shooting in Toronto. This is a mid-level paid opportunity, ideal for someone eager to bring their creative vision to a compelling narrative. Your key responsibilities will include collaborating closely with the director to establish the visual aesthetic, designing and dressing sets to reflect character personalities and story beats, sourcing props, and managing the art department budget. We need someone who can work resourcefully to create impactful visuals within realistic constraints. Required experience includes a strong portfolio demonstrating your design sensibility, particularly in character-driven stories or comedies. We're looking for someone with at least 2-3 years of experience in film or web series production design. A reel or extensive portfolio showcasing your previous work is essential. While we will provide a modest budget for materials, your ability to creatively utilize existing locations and prop houses will be highly valued. Shoot dates are approximately 10-12 days over the second half of October 2026, with prep starting about three weeks prior. Workdays will typically be 10-12 hours. We will provide locations, some basic set pieces, and a clear creative brief. This is a collaborative environment, and we’re excited to welcome a passionate designer to our team.
