Production Design for Feature Film

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a talented and experienced Production Designer for an upcoming independent feature film shooting here in New York. This is a dramatic thriller with strong psychological undertones, aiming for a gritty, realistic, and somewhat claustrophobic aesthetic. It's a challenging but very rewarding story that will give a skilled designer a lot of room to create a distinct visual world. As our Production Designer, you'll be responsible for developing the overall visual concept, supervising the art department, and ensuring all sets, props, and locations align with the director's vision. You'll be working closely with me (the Set Decorator) and the director to bring our story to life visually. We're seeking someone with extensive experience on feature films, a strong portfolio that showcases your ability to create compelling environments, and excellent leadership skills. You should be adept at working within budget constraints while maintaining high creative standards. Please share your reel or a link to your portfolio when you apply. Shoot dates are approximately September 5th to September 30th, 2024, for 20 principal days. This is a flat rate position at $250/day.
