Production Designer, Chicago Web Series (Paid)

Hey everyone, I'm Nadia, an animator working on an upcoming independent web series here in Chicago and I'm looking for a talented Production Designer to join our team. This is a satirical comedy, think 'The Office' meets 'Black Mirror,' exploring the absurdities of modern day tech culture. We're aiming for a polished, yet slightly off-kilter aesthetic, using practical sets and props to enhance the humor and underlying social commentary. Your main responsibilities will include developing the visual style of the series, creating set designs, sourcing props and wardrobe elements, and overseeing the art department during production. We're looking for someone with a strong artistic vision, a good eye for detail, and the ability to work creatively within a budget. Experience is open, so if you're fresh out of film school or a seasoned pro, I encourage you to apply. A portfolio or examples of your previous work are essential. We have approximate shoot dates set for late August through September, generally 10-12 hour days. We'll provide a budget for set dressing and props, and a dedicated art department assistant.
