Production Design for Music Video

We're gearing up for a vibrant indie music video, a passion project for a new track, blending alternative pop with a touch of nostalgic dreamwave. We're seeking a talented Production Designer to help bring our visual narrative to life. This piece promises a unique aesthetic, focusing on symbolic, character-driven environments that underscore the song's emotional arc without being overly literal. It’s a chance to build worlds from the ground up, utilizing innovative solutions for set dressing and prop creation. You’ll be working closely with the director and a small, dedicated crew. Your primary responsibilities will include conceptualizing the visual design, sourcing and creating props, set dressing, and ensuring the overall aesthetic coherence across scenes. This will involve some prop building and potentially overseeing a small art department if resources allow. We’re looking for someone creative who can maximize impact on a micro-budget, thinking outside the box for unique visual elements. While this is a volunteer, passion project, we value your expertise. No specific gear is required from you, but a strong portfolio or reel showcasing your design vision and practical skills is essential. Experience level is open, whether you're just starting out or a seasoned professional looking for a fun, creative outlet. Prep work will happen throughout October 2026, with the shoot itself planned for 1-2 full days in late October 2026, or early November 2026, in Nashville, TN. Meals and some travel reimbursement for sourcing materials will be provided during shoot days. This is a great opportunity to gain experience, build your reel, and collaborate on an exciting independent production.
