Screenwriter, Dark Comedy Web Series

An independent production is seeking a talented Screenwriter to join our team for an upcoming web series. This project is a dark comedy with a unique twist, exploring themes of community and unexpected chaos in a small town setting. We are looking for someone who can craft engaging dialogue, develop compelling characters, and structure an episodic narrative effectively. Key responsibilities include outlining episodes, writing episode scripts, and participating in story development meetings. You will collaborate closely with the director and producers to bring our vision to life. This role requires approximately three weeks of work, primarily remote, with potential for in-person meetings in Albuquerque, NM, as needed. We are open to all experience levels; your portfolio and passion are what matter most. Please submit a writing sample, ideally a comedy or drama script, along with a brief letter of interest. Compensation is $250 per day, flat rate. We aim to have scripts ready for pre-production to begin in the second half of November 2026. Please send your materials by October 31, 2026.
