This is a mid-level screenwriting opportunity for an independent production, looking for someone to craft a compelling visual narrative for an upcoming alternative-pop track. The song has a moody, introspective vibe with ethereal synth textures and a driving beat, exploring themes of fleeting memories and urban isolation. We're aiming for a stylish, emotionally resonant visual story that complements the music without being overly literal, perhaps incorporating surreal elements or non-linear storytelling. We want something that stands out and feels cinematic. This is a fantastic chance to bring a unique vision to life and build your portfolio with a professional music video credit. Your main responsibility will be to develop a concise yet impactful visual treatment and then a full screenplay, including scene breakdowns and potential shot ideas, working closely with myself, the artist, and the director. We're looking for someone with a strong sense of visual storytelling and an understanding of how to translate musical themes into compelling imagery. Experience writing for music videos or short-form narrative projects is a must, along with a portfolio or reel that showcases your ability to create imaginative and evocative screenplays. While Nashville-based is a plus for occasional in-person meetings, remote collaboration is absolutely fine.
